Power of being grateful
Thank you is such a powerful word, I don’t think we use it enough sometimes. Besides the simple gestures or gifts from people, there are many other things that we should be grateful for. It is vital to try to focus on all the things you are grateful for each morning and night for a few minutes just laying on your bed or starting a gratitude journal. This shifts your energy and thoughts to positive and abundant life.
To be happy, you have to be willing to be happy now- for what you have now. If you think you’ll be more happy once you have something you think you need, or once you achieve a certain level of success (personal, work-related, or even a dream idea of a life)- you will miss out on so much. Being thankful for what you have in the present moment- while in pursuit of what you desire- is the formula for success. The more great things you are grateful for- the more the universe will provide you with. On the flip side, if you think of negative things in your life- the universe will bring you more of that. It’s really that simple. Try to get in the habit now- so you can enjoy more of life’s great gifts.
Remind yourself of your blessings- whether it’s your family, your friends or that you have food everyday that gives you energy.. remind yourself of these things, no matter how small or big you think they are.
Let’s take a time out to focus and try to visualize the following blessings we are given each day-
(My quick list off the top of my head) - The air we breathe, every single cell of perfect bodies, water, fire, telephones, clothes, shoes, toiletries, flowers, nailpolish =) , magazines, books, internet, knowledge, fashion, healthy vegan food, laughter, family, vacations, romance, positive aspects, library, colors, being healthy wealthy and wise, gym, peace, love, writing, refrigerator, being active, massage, good hair day, tattoos, freedom, goals, hobbies, clean house, focus, pictures, camera, diamonds, success, security, Oprah, running in the morning, yoga, make-up… I can go on and on… and I usually do think of more in my head and really appreciate for my abundant life that keeps giving.
So what are you thankful for???
Xoxo,
Michaela
